It is so rewarding to teach beginners and watch their amazement as they do things they could not do before, and to help more advanced flutists to hone their craft and develop into accomplished musicians. Throughout both my undergraduate and graduate studies, I took detailed pedagogy courses and understood that a large portion of my career would include private flute instruction. Since then, I have expanded my business to include group lesson formats as well as masterclass settings. My lessons are engaging, fast-paced sessions that combine my trained background with my fun-loving, high energy nature. I individually cater repertoire and fundamental studies to each student’s ability and goals, while always placing importance on the accurate portrayal of musical style and execution of quality performance techniques. I hope that every one of my students has a better understanding of what they love about the flute after a lesson with me.
