Emma’s Resume

Freelance flutist Emma Morris is the Director of both the Triangle Flute Orchestra and the City of Oaks Flute Ensemble in Cary, NC and the Music Director of the Raleigh Area Flute Association Flute Choirs. She is also a member of the Raleigh Flute Choir. She actively performs and teaches in North Carolina and in the past has played with many renowned groups across the East Coast of the US. Emma earned her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance at University of Miami’s Frost School of Music studying under Trudy Kane and her Master of Music in Performance at Boston Conservatory at Berklee with Linda Toote. Her performance experience spans numerous styles of ensembles, including orchestra, wind ensemble, flute choir, woodwind ensembles, and contemporary chamber ensembles. Emma is also an experienced teacher - along with traditional private flute instruction, she teaches in various settings including group lessons and masterclasses. She enjoys athletic band and has experience instructing visual techniques. When she isn’t playing or teaching flute, Emma enjoys hiking with her husband Brad and their dog Boo.
